It's December...you know what time of the year this is, right? Yeah, time to post some recipes for Christmas Cookies:
Chocolate Crinkles
Ingredients:
1/2 cup cooking vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
200g semi-sweet baker's chocolate, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
powdered sugar
Directions:
Mix the oil, sugar, and melted chocolate. Blend in the eggs 1 at a time, until well mixed.
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add this mixture to the wet ingredients. Chill until firm. (This should be several hours, or overnight. It needs to be firm; not too sticky.)
Drop dough by teaspoonful into a bowl of powdered sugar. Roll around in the sugar to form the dough into balls. Place these balls 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F/ 175°C for 10-12 minutes.
